This past Saturday, Shinedown and Papa Roach visited the Bank of Kentucky Center to put on a loud show that impressed the fans.

Warm up band, Automatic Fire, got the fans geared up for a head banging show. This Philly band seemed to have a loyal fan base, and a commerical sound that retains freshness and originiality. Lead singer, Walt Lafty, bassist Brian Weaver, and guitarist Evil Rob, had their own fan base seeing as they were in the band SilverTide. Drummer Brian Killian was recruited to help rock the band – ultimately leading to Automatic Fire. Their songs fit perfect in the modern rock genre, and they are sure to make it big and to be headlining their own tour someday.

Here are some photos:

After Automatic Fire warmed up the fans, Shinedown crashed the stage. They opened their set with their new hit, “The Sound of Madness,” which every rock fan has heard and sang along to. The crowd instantly knew the concert would be all they expected and more. They also performed hits “Second Chance,” and “Devour.” In the middle of their set, they brought a couple on stage, and the man proposed to his girlfriend. She said yes, and the crowd went wild as Shinedown congratulated the happy couple. After taking their final bow before ending their set, the crowd gave them overbearing applause for the great show.

Next, it was time for Papa Roach to hit the stage. The crowd went wild when Jacoby Shaddix, lead vocalist, started singing the favorites the crowd loves. He got the crowd going by having them start moshing throughout the concert, which the fans loved. They rocked the crowd with their many hits including, “Forever,” “Scars,” “Getting Away with Murder,” and ending their set with the song that Jacoby claimed, ‘started it all,’ “Last Resort.”

It was a wild and unforgettable show that had fans wanting an encore.

Thats all for now,

Ashley
